What are the benefits of owning and using an Apple Watch?

Apple watches aren’t just good for checking notifications and reading texts without getting your phone out of your pocket, they offer a huge range of health beneficial features and exercise tracking. I have listed below some of the features we were most impressed by.

Step count - One of our team members has to hit 12,000 steps a day as part of her daily fitness goal and Apple Watches offer pin point accuracy for this.

Splitting active calories and total calories burnt - Active calories are the amount of calories burnt doing a form of exercise. Total calories burnt are active calories, and calories burnt doing everyday things such as breathing or even your heart beating. Having these split helps show you how much you’re actually burning by doing a particular exercise or activity.

It keeps an eye on your heart - Apple Watch checks for unusually high or low heart rates in the background, which could be signs of a serious underlying condition. This could help you and your patients identify situations which may warrant further evaluation.
