Will you lower the price after I send my phone?
No. We quote what we pay, locked to the condition you described. If it arrives materially different, we send you video and photos of the difference and you choose: accept the revised offer, or have your phone back free.
How fast do I get paid?
The same day, by bank transfer, usually within hours of your phone arriving and being tested. Morning collections are paid the same day; afternoon and evening collections the next day.
Is my data safe?
Yes. Every device gets a certified secure data wipe before it's resold, so nothing of yours carries over. Want the certificate? Just ask. We'd still recommend signing out of your accounts and removing any lock before you send it, which makes testing quicker too.
Is it safe to sell my phone to Calatech?
We're a real shop at 21–27 Hollands Rd, Haverhill CB9 8PU, trading since 2020. You can visit us in person, and every quote comes with our 14-day price lock.
How do I get my phone to you?
Drop it into the studio, or we collect free within 8 miles of Haverhill and 5 miles of Cambridge (Cambridge for devices worth £300+). Anywhere else, post it free with a tracked label we provide.
Do I need the original box?
No. The box isn't required and its absence doesn't reduce your quote. Cables and accessories are welcome but not needed.
Does battery health affect the price?
If your battery is below 80% health or drains quickly, switch on the battery option for an accurate quote. We replace it before resale, and your quote reflects that cost.
Can I sell a phone that's locked or still on finance?
We can't buy phones with an iCloud or Google lock, phones reported lost or stolen, or phones with finance still owing. Remove the lock and settle the balance first.
Can I take store credit instead?
Yes, when you drop it in to the shop. Store credit is 5% more, put towards a phone from us on the same visit. Collection and post pay by bank transfer.
What if my device isn't listed?
Request a custom quote and we'll tell you plainly what we'll pay, or say upfront if it's something we can't take.
